Other Streets in Fort Worth have been improved starting with tactical urbanism/better block type of resident-led efforts. While the below link describes the final implementation of the improvements to S. Main, many know the impetus of this project was a group of locals taking it upon themselves to re-strip a street without permission under cover of darkness. Thankfully these efforts have evolved into collaborations where residents and local government have worked together.
